Privacy Policy

Wordfell is a daily word puzzle. This page describes what data the app handles, in plain language, because that is how we would want it explained to us.

The short version

• There is no account and no Wordfell server. Your puzzles, streak and history live on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud — we cannot read either.
• The app shows ads (Google AdMob) and collects anonymous usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase). These are the only third-party services in the app, and both are described below.
• You can play with tracking denied. Everything works.

What stays on your device

Your solve history, streak, settings, hints and subscription state are stored locally. If iCloud is enabled on your device, your completion history is also mirrored to your own private iCloud key-value storage so it survives a new phone. That data belongs to your Apple Account; we have no access to it. Settings → Delete local data erases the on-device data and clears the iCloud mirror.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. On iOS you will be asked through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt whether to allow this; if you decline, ads still show but are not personalised, and nothing else in the app changes. Details: Google's privacy policy and AdMob partners. Purchasing Wordfell Plus removes ads entirely.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

Release builds send anonymous gameplay events — for example that a puzzle was completed, or a hint was used — so we can see which parts of the game work. These events carry no name, email or content of anything you type or trace beyond the game itself. Details: how Google uses data from apps using its services: policies.google.com.

Purchases

Wordfell Plus is sold through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Apple processes the payment; we never see your card, address or Apple Account details — only an anonymous receipt that unlocks the purchase.

Children

Wordfell has no accounts, no chat and no user-generated content, and is rated 4+. The word lists are filtered against offensive words with a mechanical guarantee checked on every shipped puzzle.

Your choices

• Tracking: decline the tracking prompt, or change it any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Data deletion: Settings → Delete local data, inside the app.
• Ads: Wordfell Plus removes them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears at this address with a new date at the top.
